Wii Charge & Dock Station w/Rechargeable Batteries Review
This does a great job of keeping our Wii console and two remotes/nunchucks together in one spot, looking neat and tidy, and comes with the bonus of being a rechargeable dock for the remote batteries.
The remotes won’t fit in the slots if you keep the clear skins on them that they came with, so we purchased two thinner skins and they fit perfectly in the dock. However, even though the remotes do fit in their slots with the thinner skins and also their wrist straps on, the batteries still can’t charge with any skins or wrist straps on. So when the remote batteries go dead, we just use the option of charging the batteries alone in the dock slots. When they are fully charged we turn the charging button off and return the remotes to their dock slots (skins, wrist straps and all). It is very handy to have a place to store them in between chargings.
Also the nunchucks fit into their slots great, even with a skin on (there is an extra space for the cord to run through).
I also like how the Wii console cord plugs into the back of the stand, which plugs into the console, thereby eliminating something else to plug in. Overall, four stars!

Chessmaster: The Art of Learning Review
Basics: You play against the Chessmaster or up to 23 weaker versions of it. Only basic time controls of minutes per game or second per move or unlimited time are offered. It has a tutorial that covers rules, piece movement and some basic tactics(like double-attacks, pins, skewers etc). It has six mini-games of 20 levels each that are intended to help teach basic chess thinking techniques. It offers chess ‘puzzles’ in the following areas: capture a piece, find check, move to safety, find fork, find pin, avoid mate, and find mate.
Pros:
At ~1850 the playing strength is challenging to the vast majority of players.
Most of the six mini-games are creatively-designed and surprisingly fun.
Chess puzzles are newly-generated each time.
Keeps track of your rating, chess puzzle best times and mini-games levels/scores.
Cons:
In the same position, each computer opponent will almost always play the same move as it did last time, which leads to a limited number of opening variations being played.
Chess puzzles are always answered in one move so they are really more for teaching than offering a challenge.
Only three games may be saved at a time.
You can only save an incomplete game to continue playing it later ie you can’t save your completed game to study it later.
No online multiplayer(However, you can play another person if they have their own ds and are in the same place as you, with or without their own gamecard)
When stepping through the moves of a just-completed game, some pieces involved in an en passant capture or pawn promotion may not be displayed correctly.
Comments: This is a great chess game for beginners to learn the basics and improve with and for intermediates to play a quick game on the go. If you need a stronger chess engine then get the DS version of Fritz Chess which is better overall for more advanced players.
